Founders

Finansbank was founded by Turkey's leading financial and banking experts.

Finansbank has become one of Turkey's strongest banks under the leadership of Hüsnü Özyeğin, Founder and Chairman.  Along with his team of banking professionals, he has lead Finansbank to become the fifth-most successful bank in Turkey and a leader among the international community.

At the end of this successful period, Finansbank's net profit in the third quarter of 2006 increased by 157% over the same period in 2005, to YTL 700 million. As a result of this improvement in profitability, Finansbank's total equity increased by 42% over the end of 2005, reaching YTL 1,984 million. This equity growth pushed the bank’s capital adequacy ratio from 11.33% in Q2 to 17.21% in Q3.

As of April 2006, the bank's international influence strengthened; the National Bank of Greece purchased 46% of all Finansbank market shares.  The combination of Greece's largest bank with Finansbank creates the leading banking group in Southeast Europe.  Together, their assets equate to over EUR 68 billion and include over 10 million customers. Under the current management team, Finansbank will continue to grow and increase its presence both domestically and abroad.
