Finansbank's environmental policy

Finansbank has always taken environmental issues into consideration. We believe that environmental awareness is the key to a sound and healthy future. In all transactions, we take into account all possible ecological and cultural impacts. We firmly believe that environmental management, although still in its primary stages, will only enhance our success and help foster continued growth. We strive to ensure that all our investment and lending activities result in projects that are in conformity with environmental laws and regulations by following World Bank guidelines on the environment, health and safety.

Finansbank supports education

Finansbank values education through two trust funds that supports both children and their families through their important milestones.

• The Finans Foundation, founded in 1990 by Hüsnü Özyeğin, chairman and founder of Finansbank, has been functioning under the name of The Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation since April 2005. The endowment aids successful but financially disadvantaged students by supplying them with scholarships and other assistance to help them through their education in Turkey and abroad. • Finansbank also supports ACEV, The Mother-Child Education Foundation. This organization educates both mothers and their pre-school-aged children. Children are prepared for school, providing them with a better chance to become successful students while mothers are coached in parenting, reproductive health and family planning; the program provides both with social and support networks.
